Not a pretty sight - fair warning

I'm probably going to get loads of crap for posting this.... But what the hell?

This is seriously the shit you see around here on occasion. Four deer legs sitting in the gutter on the side of a main street - smack in the middle of town (the fourth leg is just up the road a bit...didn't really think two pics were neccesary get the point).

Where the f@%k is the rest of the deer?

This isn't the weirdest thing I've seen here either.

The dead deer on the side of the road without heads are the ones that freak me out the most. I promise though - I will spare you from any of those pics.

Anyone interested in venturing a guess here? :)

'til next time...

  1. Maybe a hunter left behind the relatively meatless legs while keeping the rest of its meat-filled goodness.

  2. Todd going cold turkey vegan?

  3. Yes - I'm thinking they may have fell out of the back of a truck...hoping they fell out of the back of a truck. But I didn't think hunters just chopped the legs off like least until they were ready to process them.

  4. We had some hunters that lived in our building who would tie game legs to their bumper - usually bird legs, though.

  5. Tab - That'd be hard to see too. I'm such an animal lover, it's been hard to get used to things like this. I'm coming to terms with the hunting, I just don't know we have to discard bits and pieces of them on the thoroughfare!! ♥

  6. Ew, ew, ew! I hear you!!! When Jen and I lived in Bryce Canyon, we'd drive 1.5 hours or so from there to the nearest shopping center and we always saw poor dead animals on the side of the rode. Some were just too gruesome to even think about. /shiver

While we lived there, we made friends with a girl named Laura who had a dog named Parker... While several mornings, Parker would bring back antelope legs after doing his business in the bushes. :x Ick!

  7. Oh I know I know!!!! The deer was running so fast from the hunter that all 4 of his legs fell off....
Sorry Colleen I love u but I love deer meat too.......;) Mel
