No one said when we moved to Kentucky that'd we'd be experiencing the worst of EVERYTHING!!!!!
So far we've had the driest and least colorful Fall of the decade, to be shortly followed by an icier, snowier, longer than usual Winter.....and now this???? I just pulled up weather.com and the temperature is 93°, but it says it feels like 113°. Well. To be honest I don't know what it feels like cause my happy ass is staying indoors...but it's freaking hot!!!!
Mister and I drove to get some ice cream yesterday from the only game in town....
They have some crazy flavors now that I always consider trying, but alas always stay true to either Rocky Road, Mint and Chip, or Rainbow Sherbert.
This time Rainbow Sherbert won my heart....
Trust me they had no time to melt!
It's a HUGE bummer that even though we have Rite Aid out here, they don't even carry thier own brand of stinkin' ice cream!!!
'til next time... ♥
Man, it is crazy hot here as well and we're getting the added bonus of daily afternoon thunderstorms which makes it extra humid. I think we're in it for the long haul and we don't even have Baskin Robbins! (We do have Dairy Queen and Cold Stone Creamery, but it's just not the same.) Hope you stay cool!
ReplyDeleteTab - I've never experienced anything like this before! It's MISERABLE! Are you in the south also? Or midwest? I think we're both being slammed with a heat wave right now. And I think we're also having lovely thunderstorms for the next several days... yay. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in Colorado (so more Midwest), but the Rocky Mountains tend to change things up. Our summers are normally milder because we get a lot of the cold air fronts from Canada and very dry, so the heat and humidity are throwing a lot of people here for a loop. The intense thunderstorms are the weirdest part though. We usually get light rains for about 15 minutes each day, but these are drenchers that last for a couple of hours at least! I can only imagine how bad it is in the South, though. You guys must be sizzling like bacon!
