Out my window...

We've had an abundance of wildlife the last couple of days, and more than our fair share of babies. Yesterday when I saw a Robin hopping around with a beakful of worms I paid particular attention...

Which lead me to this little guy! Oh baby Robin, you are too cute!

His little tail feathers haven't even grown in yet!
The momma robin would stash him in a little patch of weeds, or an inconspicuous branch, then go off to collect more worms. He was a good little Robin and he didn't wander off anywhere - why would you when you have some premium grade A worm coming your way courtesy of mom?

I also figured out that the ground cover all over my yard is
wild strawberries!

Sadly they have no flavor (yes I tried them), but do provide for a very pretty grass area.

I've had so many critters recently I'm afraid you're going to have to put up with more cute animal talk and photos....sorry guys.

'til next time...

  1. You know how I do love your (weirdy) critters!
now, that robin looks nothing like the robin in my garden - wonder if he has a different accent too?
Fab pictures - off to read what else you've seen while I've baan away...fee ♥

  2. Rad! I love these shots! And it's true, why would you wander when you have dinner coming courtesy of Momma Bird! It reminds me of the book, "Are You My Mother?"! I'm pumped that you found some wild strawberries, keep looking around and hopefully you'll find some full of flavor!

  4. Woods strawberries, same genus but different species. Not real wild strawberries.
