Needless to say, I am not a big fan of bugs, and Indiana is making me squeal like a little girl. They have everything we do, but they also have one that's ten times bigger. Take this fly for example.
The one on the right is your common household fly that we see every day in California. They have these in Indiana also. The one on the left is a horse fly from Indiana. These things bite. Hard. Many men run when they see these things coming. I am a mighty warrior and I killed this one before you.
One little thing I was hoping someone might be able to help me with. No one can seem to figure out what kind of cocoon this is.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
*UPDATE: Discovered that this is a Bagworm Moth Cocoon.
